Nidia is in the fifth year of teaching full-time at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana U.S. as part of the Intensive English Institute, teaching English to international students. Her current related project is "Using Interactive Learning Technologies to Design Collaborative Reading Schemas for Low Intermediate ESL Students (2013-2014). Prior to this, she had received a Fulbright scholarship to complete a Master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at this same university.

She also taught English for five years at the Universidad Pedagógica in San Pedro Sula and had taught at a nearby school.

Nidia has published a book: “Factors That Inhibit the Acquisition of English by Hispanic Adults”, and has written a chapter in another: “Blended Learning: History, Implementation, Benefits, and Challenges in Higher Education”.

Douglas has done private and legal translations, assisted with ESL classes in a university in Central America, taught Spanish for six years in several high schools in northeast Indiana, U.S., given religious lectures both in Spanish and English, and assisted Hispanics with their efforts to qualify for a GED (high school diploma). He has a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Computer Science from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.
