As a biologist specialised in biodiversity conservation and environmental issues, I have worked for the past decade for several international organisations in Africa, managing and administering their field projects.
As a native French speaker, working for English-speaking organisations in African French-speaking countries, I have regularly acted as an interpreter during meetings between the organisations' representatives and the national authorities (governmental and local). I have also been in charge of any written translation work, including administrative and legal documents (such as trust deeds, official agreements) and technical reports.
On a few occasions, I have been an interpreter for technical talks (dealing with various aspects of veterinary care) given during international workshops.
I have also written many administrative and technical reports, and co-written, edited and proofread several scientific publications in English and French.
For the past two years, I have been working as a freelance translator and proofreader. I have translated various documents and powerpoint presentations related to specific domains such as auditor training, estate administration, tourism industry, TV scripts, and medical/healthcare.
