Source text - Spanish El Consejo de Ministros ha aprobado la privatización de un 49% del capital social de Aena Aeropuertos, en una operación en la que el 28% se colocará en Bolsa a través de una Oferta Pública de Venta (OPV) y el 21% restante se licitará para un núcleo estable de accionistas. Al no privatizar la gestión de las infraestructuras se garantiza el modelo de red.
El Gobierno mantendrá la mayoría del capital de Aena Aeropuertos, el 51% del capital, según avanzó la ministra de Fomento, Ana Pastor. "El objetivo de la reforma es mejorar la calidad del servicio del transporte", explicó la ministra, que recordó que el pasado año 188 millones de personas pasaron por los aeropuertos españoles.
La apertura del operador al capital privado, incluida en el Programa Nacional de Reformas, se enmarca en el proceso de reestructuración y racionalización de Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (Aena).
En julio se hace público el nuevo marco regulatorio del sector, en septiembre se seleccionarán los inversores de referencia y en octubre se registrará el folleto en la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV). Será en noviembre cuando salga a Bolsa.
Translation - English The Council of Ministers has approved the privatisation of 49% of Aena Airports’ capital stock in an operation in which 28% will be listed on the stock market through a Public Offering of Shares (OPV) and the remaining 21% will be put up for bid to a stable core of shareholders. A network model will be guaranteed by not privatising the management of its infrastructures.
The Government will maintain a majority of the capital belonging to Aena Airports, some 51%, according to the Development Minister, Ana Pastor. “The aim of the reform is to improve the quality provided by the transport service”, explained the minister, who recalled that last year 188 million people passed through Spain’s airports.
The operator’s opening of private stock, part of the National Reform Programme, fits into the restructuring and streamlining of Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (Aena).
In July the sector’s new regulatory framework will be made public, in September key investors will be selected, and in October the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV)’s prospectus will be published. It won’t be until November that shares are listed on the stock market.
