As a full-time freelance translator, I translate from English, French and Czech into Dutch, which is my native language.
I graduated as a Master of Arts in Translation for Dutch, English and Czech at Ghent University in 2011. Additionally, I studied English and Czech language, literature and translation at the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, and French language and literature at Ghent University. Several literary and other translation workshops at the University of Amsterdam and other venues have further improved my translation skills. I have lived in Belgium, France and the Czech Republic and am currently working from Belgium.
Before establishing myself as a freelance translator, I worked in the export departments of several international companies for many years, acquiring a thorough knowledge of import and export administration and other business and economic subjects. I also take an interest in the cultural field, have experience in translation of touristic and legal texts and welcome texts for translation from diverse fields.
