Hello! My name is Sophie and I run my own freelance Indonesian to English translation business. I have been speaking Indonesian as a student, researcher and translator for 20 years.
I am a NAATI certified translator (Professional Level). I studied Indonesian and Linguistics as an undergraduate and completed part of my degree as an ACICIS exchange student at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia. I then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Linguistics at UWA in 2009, studying the Minangkabau language and doing field work in Padang, Indonesia.
I do document translation work for a variety of domestic and international clients and agencies. Some of my recent work has included translations of academic research material in Internet Studies and Social Sciences, business MoUs, legislation, environmental impact assessments and court proceedings. I am a member of AUSIT and active in the organisation’s ACT branch.
I also provide NAATI certified translations of personal documents (i.e.: birth/death/marriage/citizenship certificates, driver licences, police checks, academic records, etc.) that may be needed for immigration or for studying in Australia.
Please contact me with your translation request and I’ll provide a free quotation.
