Einspritzventil
Das Einspritzventil öffnet selbsttätig bei etwa 3,8 bar Überdruck, es hat keine Zumessfunktion. Das Einspritzventil öffnet und schließt mit einer Frequenz von ca. 1500 Hz (Schnarren) und bewirkt damit eine gute Kraftstoffaufbereitung.
Zu seiner Befestigung dient ein Gummiformteil. Es wird eingesteckt, nicht eingeschraubt. Der Sechskant dient zum Gegenhalten beim Anschrauben der Kraftstoffzuleitung.
Warmlaufregler
Der Warmlaufregler reichert das Gemisch in der Warmlaufphase an, indem er, gesteuert von einem elektrisch beheizten Bimetall, den Gegendruck auf den Steuerkolben verringert. Das Absenken des Steuerdrucks führt bei gleicher Luftmenge zu einem größeren Hub der Stauscheibe (entsprechend vergrößertem Kraftstoffdurchflussquerschnitt) und damit zur Warmlaufanreicherung.
Bei Bedarf kann der Warmlaufregler um folgende Funktionen erweitert werden:
- Volllastanreicherung,
- Beschleunigungsanreicherung,
- Höhenkorrektur.
Zusatzluftschieber
Der durch eine Bimetallfeder oder ein Dehnstoffelement bewegte Zusatzluftschieber führt dem Motor während der Warmlaufphase (unter Umgehung der Drosselklappe, vom Luftmengenmesser gemessen) eine Mehrluftmenge zu. Diese Mehrluftmenge kompensiert die höheren Reibwerte des kalten Motors bei gleicher Leerlaufdrehzahl oder gestattet höhere Leerlaufdrehzahlen für schnellere Motor- und Abgaserwärmung.
Elektrisches Startventil, Thermozeitschalter
Der Thermozeitschalter steuert abhängig von Motortemperatur und Zeit das elektrische Startventil an, das während des Startvorganges bei tiefen Temperaturen das Einspritzen einer zusätzlichen Kraftstoffmenge (Kaltstartanreicherung) in das Sammelsaugrohr ermöglicht.
Lambda-Regelung
Zur Einhaltung extrem niedriger Abgasgrenzwerte ist die Steuerung des Luft-Kraftstoff-Verhältnisses nicht genau genug.
Die zum Betrieb eines Dreiwege-Katalysators notwendige Lambda-Regelung bedingt bei der K-Jetronic den Einsatz eines elektronischen Steuergeräts, dessen wesentliche Eingangsgröße das Signal der Lambda-Sonde ist.
Ein elektromagnetisches Taktventil beeinflusst den Differenzdruck an den Steuerschlitzen und variiert so das Luft-Kraftstoff-Verhältnis. Dieses Prinzip lässt sich bei künftiger Verschärfung der Grenzwerte nicht mehr anwenden.
