Japanese to English: Heat transfer characteristics of air impingement flow
Source text - Japanese
Translation - English Purpose of heat transfer experiment:
In order to understand the Heat transfer characteristics of forced heat convection, it is necessary to have knowledge about several phenomena such as boundary layer development on heat transfer surface, turbulence intensity along the flow, etc.
In this test, the effects of jet velocity, jet exit, vertical distance, shape of heat transfer area, etc., on heat transfer characteristics of air impingement flow is investigated.
As it is observed from figure 1, when jet flow hits an object, heat transfer characteristics of jet flow changes with changing the geometrical parameters such the distance from nozzle, etc.. However, basically the flow is divided to “free jet flow region”, “impact jet flow region”, “wall jet flow region”
