Born and raised in Ethiopia, I am a native speaker of Amharic.Having used English as a medium of instruction both in high school and in college, I am fluent in English. I have the experience of teaching in a university for over 4 years, using English as a medium of instruction.

As a graduate student, I have studied both in Europe and in America. This has given me a peculiar opportunity of learning about and from different cultures, including from my own Ethiopian culture.
Over the past six months, I have been working as a freelance translator. Over this short period of time, I have been lucky enough to work on legal, medical, research, educational and social documents. I have translated, edited, proofread and done quality control on different documents.
