Translation - English As in every nation turkmens also have their own national dishes. For example famous turkmen soup chekdirme. How chekdirme is prepared? First of all, we need to learn the ingredients of this national soup. They are: mutton, onion, tomato,carrot, grinded red and black pepper, salt, potato( potato is added depending on your preference) and other seasonings on your preference. First, meat chopped into average pieces, and the cleaned heart, liver, kidney,lung and tongue in pieces are added on top of the meat in the cauldron. After some chopped onion is also added and fried. Later little cold water is added to cover the ingredients. When the soup starts boiling some carrots added. 15 minutes later tomato, pepper, salt and seasoning is added. When the soup is ready, meat are served in a different dish and the soup in different. Some greens are sprinkled on top of the meat before serving.
