Source text - English Chapter 15: Understanding Other Gamification and Behavioral Frameworks with Octalysis
Up to this point we have covered almost everything there is to learn in Level I Octalysis design. My goal for the book is to go deep on one methodology and framework (namely my own), and then once competency of that one framework is achieved, use it to understand other frameworks.
In 2012, when I attended the annual GSummit, the largest gamification conference in the world, I was thoroughly impressed by the ensemble of knowledgeable panelists and speakers. However, I imagined that the average attendee could be flustered by all of the various talks and frameworks presented at the conference – from Richard Bartles’ Four Player Types, Mihayi Chiksenmihayi’s Flow Theory, Nicole Lazzarro’s 4Keys2Fun, and a plethora of others!
At the end of the day, while the attendee feels pumped and inspired about the world-changing potential of gamification, they may still feel confused about what to do next. All these frameworks, when pieced together, seem to communicate an abstract knowledge about the brain. But the question of how we connect them together in a way that holistically reflects our minds is difficult to answer. It becomes even more challenging when one needs to determine which framework to use for various projects.

Ao final de tudo, embora o participante se sinta entusiasmado e inspirado com o potencial de mudar o mundo que a gamificação traz, ele ainda pode se sentir confuso quanto a o que fazer em seguida. The world around them fell silent as he pressed her face against his and kissed her passionately, enclosing the final space between their lips with a warm and wet profusion.
His tongue moved greedily within her mouth, hungry for her taste, her caresses, craving the vibration of her needy cries over his lips. With an ever-increasing desire to quench their thirst, they gasped in each other's mouths, teeth meeting teeth and limbs wriggling carelessly, until Jeanne could no longer stand it and pushed his torso down on the bed, panting heavily as she fell upon him.

Source text - English Environmentalism is one of many topics in which Freire has been critiqued for not extending beyond issues of class, into, for example, topics such as gender, race, and sexual orientation, among others (Au and Apple, 2007). With environmental issues, Freire did write some powerful words, especially in his later writings, as given below and other passages which are scattered throughout this book.
I do not believe in loving among women and men, among human beings, if we do no become capable of loving the world. Ecology has gained tremendous importance at the end of this century. I must be present in any educational practice of a radical, critical, and liberating Nature. (Freire, 2004)
The notion seems deplorable to me of engaging in progressive, revolutionary discourse while embracing a practice that negates life-that pollutes the air, the waters, the fields, and devastates forests, destroys the trees and threatens the animals. (Freire, 2004)
Freire discussed the inseparability between social and environmental justices, as pedagogies are constructed for transformation through "educational practice[s] of a radical, critical, and liberating Nature" (Freire, 2004). The second quote elaborates on specifics outside of the anthropocentric sphere to include the organic sphere, but also the inorganic with "the waters, the fields". It should be noted again that in this book and past publications of mine (Misiaszek and Torres, 2019), I (along with Torres) have changed his wording of "the world" in the above quote to become "Earth'' -as I have already done up to this point in this book. I/we have utilized this terminology from Freire's (2000) own words in describing a discussion with a peasant on his response to there would be no world without human beings and the social roles between them (Freire's quote given later in this chapter).

INTRODUCTION
Planning and organizing the care environment for bone marrow transplantation (BMT) —a challenging and complicated treatment modality—requires a skilled and systematic approach by nurse managers and the entire BMT team. Planning may be initiated by a physician investigator who wants to see an inpatient BMT unit established, but it will soon become clear that a BMT program is more than just its physical facilities.
Before the inpatient unit is begun, careful strategic planning of a holistic program is necessary and should be based on the mission statement of the institution. This chapter briefly describes the development of a BMT program, focusing on the administrative considerations and systems that are critical to the establishment of an inpatient bone marrow transplant unit.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
A health care organization’s decision to establish a bone marrow transplant program requires a comprehensive strategy. Planning is one of the most significant steps in this process. The inpatient stay can be lengthy, requires specialized services, and is among the most resource-intensive (and therefore cost-intensive) aspects of the entire BMT course. For these reasons, strategic planning of the care environment is ideally accomplished by a task force or committee of senior managers who can evaluate the internal and external forces that will affect the BMT program. Included in strategic planning are an external and internal feasibility analysis; determination of various options (including the option of not proceeding with a program); development of a mission statement and goals and objectives; and, finally, plan implementation.
According to Kelleher, ”the [BMT planning] team should be multidisciplinary to assure appropriate allocation and utilization, and to eliminate the common interdepartmental power struggles that occur when only one or two people attempt to plan a program with interrelated services” (1, p. 379). To be effective, the team should be involved in every aspect of unit development, from organizational structure and reporting relationships to the selection of equipment and supplies.
