I am a native English speaker from the United States (East Coast) with Cuban heritage, and have been studying Spanish for several years. In 2015 I completed my M.A. in Spanish Language and Literature with the Middlebury Language Schools. In college I took one translation course and in graduate school I took another one. I have practice translating both literary and non-literary texts. I am interested in gaining experience translating in both genres, so I welcome any work available to me.
I believe I will be an effective translator because I am an excellent writer and proofreader in my native language. I have a strong eye for detail and a sincere love of grammar and language arts. I am passionate about communication and cross-cultural understandings. I would love to play an active role in these disciplines through translation, interpretation, and editorial work.
