About me
My name is Bruno Coelho and I'm a 31 year old Portuguese digital nomad / freelancer currently residing between Porto (PT) and Kaunas (LIT). The areas where I mostly collaborate are translation, photography and travel. To whom it may concern, before becoming a digital nomad I was a software engineer, project manager and innovation researcher for European projects (for a total of almost 10 years).

Some quick facts about my translation career:

- Accumulated experience of many years producing English content in the industry of IT and more recently innovation, marketing and business (academic, corporate and research contexts);
- Knowledge in CAT tools (Trados Studio 2017, Passolo 2016, Across, MemSource, memoQ and MateCat) as well as related ones (OneSky, iMediaTrans and Aegisub);
- Experience and particular interest in the area of subtitle translation of entertainment works (do not mistake with subtitling, i.e. transcription and time coding), with both episodes and full-length movies already translated;
- As a freelance translator, the areas I’ve most collaborated so far were automotive user manuals, entertainment (subtitles), marketing campaigns, and websites and apps’ content (including video games);
- My biggest clients so far include Netflix, BenQ, Amazon, Apple Music, HBO, Maserati and Oracle.

The languages I work with are pt-PT (European Portuguese, native) and English (C1 certified); I can also translate FROM Brazilian Portuguese in some occasions.

My availability is almost complete: I work all days of the week up to 12 hours a day. My daily capacity is somewhere around 5k words. Quality control mechanisms include spell checker (Portuguese’s post-orthographic agreement), research, at least one proofreading iteration over translated work (in case of translation), read alouds, witnessing the translation in its correct environment (in case of subtitles, for example) and one free post-editing over my own past translations.

I accept payments through PayPal, Payoneer, Skrill and bank transfer.
