I am a native speaker of Burmese, with advanced English skills. I started translating from Burmese to English and vice versa in 2012 for voluntary and academic purposes. My professional translation services began in 2013. I have worked on translating academic papers, property development projects, scientific reports and general news. I was selected to work as a liaison for several VIP guests during the 2013 Southeast Asian Games held in Myanmar.
I graduated in 2013 from Yangon University of Foreign Languages, one of the top universities in Myanmar with a B.A degree in English . Currently, I am doing a Master's degree course in English as a Foreign Language at the same university. My studies, for both degrees, include translation and interpretation from both practical and scholarly points of view. I also have a good background in linguistics and this enables me to approach translation and interpretation from a linguistically analytical perspective, consequently making the final result faithful, reliable and communicative at the same time.
