Born to a Japanese mother, Aya Davidson's first language for speaking, reading and writing were Japanese, but being raised in the United States, naturally she became a native English speaker as well. She grew up going to an American public school 5 days a week September through June, to San Francisco Japanese Language School every Saturday for those same months and 5 days a week for 2 weeks in June, and to a Japanese public school 2 weeks to a month every year.
In 2011 Aya interpreted for a palm reader/bazi consultant at the J-Pop Summit in San Francisco, and since has interpreted at other festivals. She has also worked as an administrative assistant at Ohnaka Assoiates in New Jersey, where she helped with proofing/editing and learned the ethics of this business.
Aya's specialties lie in metaphysics, history, the food & drink business and other general conversational language.
Outside of interpreting/translating, Aya works as a music performer and instructor, and Tarot consultant.
