Translation - English It all began on a Thursday in the month of June – I don’t remember the date exactly – and I was buying dinner for my family. When I was finished shopping and headed home, 5 gang members from the Mara 18 came out in front of my path, the gang members having tattoos [attributed to] that gang, and they told me to stop. Seeing no other alternative, I had no option but to stop, and at that same moment, they began hitting me without explaining why they are beating me. They were armed with firearm(s), and after the beating they told me that this had happened because I didn’t pay the rent (extortion). They left me in bad shape, and I asked for help but no one arrived to help me. That was the first time.
