Wang Wei- Passing by the Temple of Heaped Fragrance
Passing by the Temple of Heaped Fragrance
Not knowing the way to the Temple of Heaped Fragrance,
I wander several li into the cloudy peaks.
Ancient woods, without a human trace,
Deep in the mountains, whence comes the chiming bell?
Spring torrent chokes as it runs down the steep boulders,
Rays of sunlight are chilled by the green pines.
Fading twilight, by the curve of an empty pond,
Tranquil meditation subdues the poisonous dragon.
