CV/Resume English (PDF)
My "native" language is Spanish, but I grew up speaking German and English as well. German was actually my first language because my parents were Germans and that is the language we spoke at home. English because I went to a British School in Buenos Aires, and Spanish because I grew up in Argentina.

I have been working with these languages since I was 18. Working as a secretary to the CEO of a company that imported photographic items from Germany and Hong Kong, I had to do all the correspondence both in German and English, phone coversations in both languages and act as interpreter for visitors.

Since 1980 I have been working with my husband as technical translator, building up a strong professional vocabulary in both English and Spanish, and later adding German. This in addition to my permanent job at the American Embassy in Tel Aviv for the last 17 years, from which I retired two weeks ago.

I took grammar lessons at the Goethe Institut in Buenos Aires, and read a lot in German.

I would appreciate to be given an opportunity to show my language skills, and thus building up a reputation in the ProZ community.
