I am Eoin, a 26 year old college graduate from Ireland, with a degree in International Business and French, obtained from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2016.
Despite having limited professional experience as a translator. I have both lived, studied and work in France for 2 years. My first year was spent on Erasmus at the University of Paul Valery,
Montpelier 3. Here, I attended business classes in French including Economics, Marketing and Political Economics. The time I spent here was highly valuable to both my personal and academic development.
My written and spoken French improved dramatically and I could positively say that I had an advanced level come the end of my stay in Montpelier.
My second year in France was spent at the Village Vacances de Bellebouche, where I completed a 3 month "stage" or work placement, working as a waiter and housekeeper in a holiday resort located in the French countryside.
My spoken French improved greatly as I was in constant contact with staff and customers through French. Following the work placement, I returned to the University of Paul Valery where I obtained a IEFE certificate, confirming that I had reached a certain level of French (B2).
During my 4 years in college, I attended translation classes each year. Translation is a subject in which I excelled and regularly obtained above average grades.
