I have been working as a freelancer for almost 10 years for women's magazines, NGOs, translation agencies. My English is very strong because I took specialized class in English at high school and studied hard on my own. My IELTS score is 7.5, TOEIC 900. I have also completed my master study at University of Westminster, London with major in Marketing Management and was ranked within top 5 of the class. My translation experience mainly involves in social work, proceeding documents, and general rules and policies for various organization. Some important projects of mine include:
+ Codes of Ethics for Eaton, RBS, Rolls-Royce, Volex (about 10K words each)
+ Hermitage Global Master’s Articles of Association (20K)
+ Various child report prepared by social workers in UK (about 5K words each)
+ Various legal bundles (about 10K each)
+ Several brand surveys (about 8K words each)
+ And so much more, total words translated: about 500,000 words
As my permanent job is at a leasing company in Vietnam, I have been quite passive in looking for translation job and I only work for one agency (Vietnam Connect in UK) and am often referred by friends to new translation projects. People always appreciate my punctuality, knowledge and effort in wording and phrasing.
But now that I have more time at work and at home, I decide to actively seek freelance jobs to fill in my free time. I'm most interested in working as a freelance translator but am also capable of taking the roles of a voice-over, a copywriter thanks to my qualification in Marketing and my skillful writing ability. I can work comfortably on MS Office, Trados and am excellent in ‘googling’ to find the right translation for a specialized term.
I am willing to offer competitive rate to prove my competence at this early stage. You will surely be satisfied with the quality of my work. Do not hesitate to send me a test or contact me at any time.
