The translation team of Wilson Headen and Best have 40 years of combined professional experience in their respective fields with Ms. Wilson Headen being a commercial banker, auditor, accountant, and elected official and Ms. Best being a real estate litigation and transactions attorney.
Translation Certifications and Experience:
Together, Ms. Best and Ms. Wilson Headen have more than 10 years of study and translation in the area of French grammar, literature, and technical writing. They have succeeded in a rigorous course of study in their own rights. Specifically, Ms. Wilson Headen studied French for four years of her undergraduate education at Columbia University in New York City and ultimately received Columbia University’s prestigious Richmond B. Williams Travelling Fellowship to study the works of female novelists from Senegal and France. In more recent years, Ms. Wilson Headen has worked with French speaking women to help them pass the TOEFL English language proficiency examination.
Like Ms. Headen, Ms. Best also studied French all four years of her undergraduate studies at the American University in Washington, D.C. Then, in 2012, Ms. Best studied French at the Alliance Française in Paris, France. In 2015, Ms. Best earned a DELF (Diploma of Studies in the French Language) certification from the French National Ministry of Education after sitting for the exam in Chicago, Illinois
