I am a Spanish native speaker living in Spain. I have completed higher education studies in foreign languages such as French, German and Japanese and I have specialized mostly in translation, interpretation and teaching of these languages. I am philologist by profession, so I studied linguistics, lexicography, grammar, semantics, terminology and other aspects of the language that are inserted in this field.
I have been a university professor of several subjects, including simultaneous interpretation and have done graduate studies in Japan, especially related to the methodology of teaching this language as well as the country's own cultural aspects. I have been working at a Japanese embassy for more than three years as a cultural specialist, translator and interpreter, which has allowed me deeper knowledge of this language in particular.
In Spain I work as a teacher of Japanese, German and French in schools and language schools, and provide specialized courses to companies in development plans of expansion. I have also translated more than ten works on various subjects, including literature, that have been already published. I acted as judiciary interpreter in police stations from where I live and I have substantial experience in consecutive and simultaneous interpreting at conferences, meetings, conventions or television programs.
I am passionate about audiovisual translation and have worked mainly subtitling for movies. I do also master some computer-aided tools for translation and subtitling and in this regard I try to be updated.
I am prepared to work in almost all fields of translation and interpreting and have prior work experience and training, particularly in Marketing, SEO, education and language teaching, tourism, engineering, law, literature, films, politics, religion, technology and insurances, among others.
I guarantee the professionalism of my services and respect the deadlines and conditions of the projects I assume. You can find more details about my training and career in the attached resume. And I will remain at your completely disposal for any work proposal.
