On losing earthly pleasures man often sheds tears
Yet knows that safety - in leaving them all- appears
After death, man has no true abode in the hereafter
But what he builds with his good deeds not laughter
So, if lifetime is spent well, in Paradise he will dwell
Yet if on bad deeds spent, he will be punished in hell
How many a king , on his throne has settled
Till, by death, he has been eternally toppled
The fact is that one day our fortune will be inherited
and houses we build, will turn to ashes unmerited
How many elegant cities that were neatly established
Till they with mighty slashes of death are demolished
Yet, no matter the fear of death , man lives in
He has hopes that, his love of life, strengthen
Man builds hopes that, by time, are destroyed
And what he aspires for ,by death, will be void |
