Other Experience:
• Translation Consultant, Utah Portuguese Dual Language Immersion Program - I helped the Utah Portuguese Dual Language Immersion program in their translation process so they could provide high-quality educational materials in Portuguese to their students. This translation process is still currently being used. I also provided direction on CAT tools, glossary formulation, and translation memory.

Awards:
• BYU Outstanding Spanish Translation Student - I received this award as the best-performing translator in my Spanish Translation class.
• Series 7 Exam - I passed this exam that covers topics on investment risk, taxation, equity and debt instruments, packaged securities, options, and retirement plans. Although I no longer work in the financial services industry, passing this exam demonstrates my knowledge in the field of finance.
• Series 63 Exam - I passed this investment securities exam that allows the holder to solicit orders for any type of security in a particular state within the United States. Although I no longer work in the financial services, passing this exam further demonstrates my knowledge in the field of finance.

Volunteer Experience:
• English to Spanish Translator, Academy for Creating Enterprise (ACE) - I translated 15,000 words of a micro-entrepreneurship manual from English to Spanish. I also helped create a glossary of terms to ensure consistency in translation and integrated these terms into Wordfast. This manual was later used in Mexico and Peru by micro-entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses and support their families.
• Director, BYU Spanish Translators - Former director of the BYU Spanish Translators. I organized and established this organization in coordination with BYU Spanish Interpreters. The objective of this organization was to promote a comfortable language environment for those who speak Spanish in Provo, UT schools. We provided volunteer translation services for schools by translating administrative documents, worksheets, and other school assignments.
• Interpreter, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Provide volunteer interpretation for congregation members from Portuguese to English
