Since graduating with a double major in Latin American Studies and Spanish in 2003, I have worked for almost 15 years in school districts and educational programs interacting directly with immigrants from Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America. Part of my work also requires me to be the "in-house" translator for the district, leading me to translate many documents, ranging from Individualized Education Plans, to Financial Aid PowerPoint presentations.
When I wasn't at my regular job in Oregon, I used to travel extensively in Mexico during my time off. I also have visited El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Costa Rice for various amounts of time. Now I am more home-bound and busy myself with raising my three children.
