Bio
With a bilingual upbringing and an international background (15 years at Ecole Bilingue Janine Manuel), Shirley trained as an undergraduate in l'ISIT (Institut Supérieur d'Interprétation et Traduction) and getting a Masters degree in translation from Université Paris X Nanterre in 2007, as well as a Communication and Press DU degree from IFP (Institut Français de Presse). A full-time freelance translator after working for over a decade as an in-house translator international corporate and legal world for firms such as MAZARS, HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER, DIXON WILSON, REED SMITH, KIRKLAND & ELLIS, working as a freelance translator for eight years in the world of fashion for luxury retailers and fashion houses LOLLIPOPS, SHOWROOMPRIVE, 55 CROISETTE, Mediactive, as well as working freelance for marketing and production companies since 2013, HIVENTY, MEDIAWAN, NETFLIX, CANAL +, PRIME VIDEO, Shirley Delayre launched CHRYSOS in November 2021.
Translating from French, English and Spanish to French and English in various areas of the law, fashion, communication and media, Shirley also edits novels, does product description transcreation for online platforms and occasionally writes copy.
