Bio
I am a Chinese citizen and lived in China all my life. I graduated from Zhejiang University majoring in bioscience in 2009 and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences majoring in law in 2015. Actually, between these two periods, I took translation as a part-time job to support my education and daily expenses without giving my parents financial burden.

For most of my professional life I have worked in the life sciences and medical sectors, regularly translating medical and pharmaceutical documents, such as clinical study reports, preclinical study reports, drug instructions, research papers, for different agencies and having translated nearly 1.9 million English words in 5 years. After my graduation last year, I became an associate working at a law firm and occasionally translated legal documents like articles of incorporation, contracts and agreements, and the texts of petition. I can translate freely between English and Simplified Chinese.

Now, I am a freelance translator. I typically translate between 2,500 and 3,000 words per day and use SDL Trados and Wordfast to improve consistency and efficiency. My areas of specialty include life science and legal translations.

I have significant experience in project management and working on projects with tight deadlines. In order to provide the best possible service to my clients, I stay in constant communication with them, and make sure that I can be easily reached. I believe that good communication and a long-term relationship with my client base is mutually beneficial, allowing me to provide a higher standard of quality and service.
