I have been translating English - Indonesian and vice versa in a professional working circumstance for about 9 years. My specialty is mainly in marine and fisheries fields. I've got a bachelor degree in English, focusing in Linguistics study from one of the best universities in Indonesia, and conducted my postgraduate study in International Marine Environmental Consultancy in the UK. However, I can translate material in other fields as well but it would take a bit longer as a research must be done to get an insight of the specific field. Prior to finalise the translation, I would offer clients to make a review of the result and give comments on the translation. Should clients have any suggestion or input, I will be happy to adjust. Communication between the translator and the client is important to produce the best result of translation, because for me translating is a team work job. No matter how good you are in doing translation work, the clients point of view must be involved and taken into account in the translation.
