Source text - English - No, no, no! I sit in this stinky room writing jokes all day long.
- Yeah.
- I'm not having burgers from an island-themed restaurant for lunch again!
- Yeah.
- Pepé, "island-themed" just means there's a pineapple on your burger. You take it off!
- Yeah, but you can't get rid of the juice.
- You're a rat! I've seen you eat garbage!
- Not with a pineapple on it!
- Exactly, the pineapple juice tastes like...
- Yo, yo, yo. Who's coming with me to lunch?
- Oh, we don't get to go out. The show brings lunch in for us.
- What? What do you got? Wiki-waki pineapple turkey-yaki burger? That's gross, man. You can't get the juice off that burger. You guys, this breaks my heart. You are the soul of this show.
- Oh, well, you know, the boomerang fish guy and the pig are pretty important, but we're in the conversation.
- I agree, so let me take you out to a fancy-pants lunch. You can order off the grown-ups menu because unlike Kermit, I appreciate ya.

Não vou almoçar hambúrguer

Pepé, tema praiano
só quer dizer que vem abacaxi
no hambúrguer. É só tirar!
É, mas o suco não sai.
Você é um rato!
Já te vi comer lixo!
Não com abacaxi!
Exatamente!
Suco de abacaxi é uma...

mais ou menos.
Bolota tinha nove anos

na mesma classe
que o filho caçula dela.
Eles ficaram amigos
e foi por meio dessa amizade
que ela conheceu meu pai.
Ele ia buscar e levar Bolota
na casa dela
e, como ela gostava de dizer,
"batiam um papinho".
Tônio foi quem
mais gostou da união,
porque sofria muito
com a morte da mãe.
Com o casamento deles,
em janeiro de 63,
foram todos morar juntos.
Minha madrasta nem sabia
por que meu pai casara com ela.
Ele era um advogado cheio
de cultura, chique, viúvo,
pais de seis filhos.
Ela era uma professora
do interior, caipira,
que falava tudo sem o S,
trocava o R pelo I.
Era viúva
e ainda tinha três filhos pra se
juntarem àquela Babel de crianças.
Ela dizia que o Tônio
era um menino meigo, educado,
diferente dos outros.
Adorava enrolar docinhos,
enfeitar caixas, fazer roupinhas.
Ele costurava
roupinhas de boneca.
Tinha uma tendência pro feminino.
E isso foi se tornando
um problema.

She was a small town teacher,
a hick who skipped her plurals

She thought Tonio was
a sweet and polite boy,
different from the others,
who loved to make bonbons,
decorate boxes and sew.
He used to sew
little doll outfits.
He had feminine tendencies
and this became a problem.
English to Portuguese: Interview on the South American solar market
Source text - English Q: What is your view on the South American Solar Market?
A: South America is at the global frontier for unsubsidized solar markets. With highest irradiation levels and fast growing demand, the continent is positioned to be one of the most attractive regions for solar development. Analysts forecast a cumulative PV demand of 41 GW installed between 2016 and 2021. Annual installations are on track to more than double over the same period. By the end of the decade, South America will represent 10 percent of global PV demand.
Q: What exactly has been driving this growth, and where are things headed?
A: Solar prices have fallen drastically in South American auctions. Distributed generation is starting to gain a larger share of Latin America’s solar market, particularly in Mexico and Brazil, where net metering and other incentives are in place. However, utility-scale solar is the primary market driver due to a rapidly declining price trend.
But low PV prices, while so far positive for solar deployment, pose a challenge to developers trying to finance low rate return projects. However, the introduction of tax reforms, partnerships with development banks and funds for renewable-specific projects, and economic recovery at a broader level is helping sustain regional renewable energy investment in 2017.
Q: How is the situation Brazil in the moment?
A: The fall in prices and a concurrent increase in demand have resulted in multi-gigawatt pipelines in Brazil.
Despite being hit by political and economic firestorms last year; Brazil is still expected to command a top-five share of PV demand in Latin America for the near term. Brazil’s PV market added upward of 267 megawatts in PV capacity in 2016, but it will soon lose ground to its neighbors if recent economic and demand trends do not reverse.
Translation - Portuguese P: Como você vê o mercado solar sul-americano?
English to Portuguese: News realease on the Solar Electric Light Fund
Source text - English Bringing Light to the Guardians of the Earth: Intersolar Helps to Bring Electricity to an Arhuaco Village in Colombia
For the first time in 500 years of colonial marginalization, the Arhuaco people of Colombia are reclaiming their Caribbean coastal land and have founded a new village, Katansama. A respected Arhuaco leader has asked the “Solar Electric Light Fund” (www.self.org) to provide the new Arhuaco coastal community with solar electricity.
Katansama is not connected to the Electricaribe electrical grid. Since solar power is the best option, Intersolar will be donating to the project this year to help provide the residents with much-needed electricity. Two separate installations are required: one will power a community services facility which includes a single-room healthcare center, two meeting centers, and a communal kitchen, and the other, a freestanding school complex with three classrooms, dorms, and a cafeteria.
