I learned to speak Spanish from living in Mexico for seven years, where I graduated from High School. I then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Language Studies (Spanish, French, Italian) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I began my professional translation and interpreting career after earning my T&I Certificate in 2003. I also hold a Certificate in Proofreading and Copy Editing.
Over the last 14 years I have been translating and interpreting professionally for the County Office of Education, for medical appointments, and for municipal and social service agencies. I was also a Spanish Instructor for ten years.
In addition to speaking and learning new languages, my interests include travel, music, reading, foreign film, the arts, hiking and being in nature.
I look forward to facilitating your communication with a wider audience. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
