I'm a creative individual with a long-lasting love affair with structures, organization, and business. A two-legged oxymoron, somebody might say. I started my career as a film professional in Rome, but a few years ago I decided to become a translator. That's when I met and fell in love with localization. Localization allows me to be both creative and deeply organizational at the same time. The localization industry is thriving and it will always be. It's like selling shovels during the Gold Rush.

✓ A 4-year experience as a Localization, Research, and Data Specialist for Google. I spent countless hours localizing data (English↔Italian) for the actual front page of the internet: Google's Knowledge Panel.

✓ 10+ years of experience in localizing websites, video games, manuals, eBooks, etcetera. I also translated books, scripts, and subtitles. That remains a pure pleasure for me.

✓ I lived in the 3 biggest cities in Italy: Milan, Rome, and Naples. I know how to highjack the hearts and minds of Northern, Central, and Southern Italians. I'm truly passionate about my Country: knowledgeable about Italian food, sports, engineering, clothes, tech, politics, arts, etcetera.

✓ I pitched ideas to the most important CEOs in the Italian film industry. I'm creative, but I also know that you won't sell "Lolita" by saying that Nabokov is a gifted prose stylist. You'll sell it by creating the buzz around its sordid themes.

✓ I studied narratology and dramaturgy. Selling a product is a narrative, not mere taglines. You need to hook users to your pages with a cliffhanger like J.J. Abrams did at the end of each and every episode of "Lost".

✓ I'm an award-winning novelist. My book "La circostanza" has been ranked 27th in the 2015 List of the Most Important Books of the Year by Corriere della Sera. I also won the 2015 Premio Berto.

Feel free to contact me. I'm always open to meet new people and to consider new business/work opportunities!
