In 1978 I got my PhD degree in Biology from Harvard University. In 2006 I retired as a Professor of Ecology from Universidad de Los Andes (Mérida, Venezuela) after more than 30 years of teaching and doing research in Ecology. During my professional career I published more than 50 papers both in english and spanish.
Since I lived in the US for about 12 years, I speak and write English fluently, but my native language is Spanish. In the last few years I have been publishing a blog on sustainability (Sustentability and Development).
Given my background I am capable of translations in fields related to science and technology (environment, climate, ecology, biology, evolution, etc) but also in fields of social sciences and education (anthropology, learning, government, political sciences, etc).
I am native to Venezuela and currently live in Santiago de Chile.
For more details on my work you can see my CV (english or spanish) in this page
