Bio

I am an
experienced and well-qualified translator/editor, specializing in English-Russian translations. I am a
native Russian language speaker, although I have been living in the United
States for the last twenty years. Back in the 80s, I graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University with
a Bachelor’s degree in foreign languages (English and French). After that I worked for several years
as a translator, editor and language tutor in Moscow, but then the wave of
post-Soviet era emigration took my family over first to Israel and then to the
US.

In the ensuing
years, I continued with translations as a freelancer. Even when I was not
allowed, due to my immigration status, to have a paid employment during my
first several years in the US, I worked as a volunteer translator for
non-profit organizations and projects. I am available for various
English-Russian translation and editing assignments. I am knowledgeable,
reliable and detail-oriented. My full resume is available upon request.
