I am the owner and CEO of Visual Communication Interpreting, Inc. founded July 7, of 2007. I hold a bachelor degree in American Sign Language interpretation and a School of Hard Knocks degree in business administration. I'm a RID certified sign language interpreter, also known as nationally certified. That's what I do from 9-5. My life outside of my professional career include a husband of 29 years who served the United States Coast Guard for 20 years before retiring to the US Postal Service. Our three children are all grown. One is a filmmaker, one is an emergency room tech, and the other is a public school teacher. Every day I'm greeted by a pit bull and a staffy bull that have very waggily tails.
I never dreamed I'd own or operate an interpreting agency but here I am. It's an act of obedience on my part. I asked God for a Holy Promotion. I received VCI. The goal is to operate the agency with in excellence, integrity and with sound business practice and policy. The VCI team's charge is to treat all customers and clients with respect and kindness ensuring all their information remains confidential from the time we receive it until we go to the grave. Quality control is paramount so we utilize the skills of nationally certified interpreters that are proficient in American Sign Language and spoken English. They are educated and adhere to a strict code of professional conduct.
I am thankful for every opportunity to serve the community and the general public. My company exists as a testament to what God has done and continues to do in the lives of our staff, professional interpreters, customers, and clients.
