I have worked for several manufacturing companies that used translators for signs, company manuals, and training. Although the translators were typically fluent in both Spanish and English, I was often surprised at how awkwardly the translated materials were pieced together.

There is no perfect formula for producing a translation that preserves the tone, fluidity, and content in a way that the reader can't even tell that it was translated. It is an art form. I have a knack for doing this well, but I have also worked hard to develop my abilities. I take pride in my work, and truly enjoy translating.

In 2001 after graduating college I began working in Southern Mexico. My focus was engineering and heavy industry. All work and interactions were conducted in Spanish but I was regularly tasked with translating technical English documents into Spanish.

After several years of engineering type work in Mexico I moved to Miami Florida, with a focus in Bilingual Safety and Training. In this role, I was tasked with translating the New Employee Training Program into Spanish. This included company policy manuals, safety, and task training, as well as competency tests. My translated materials were put into circulation in 2006.

I have family in Mexico and make regular visits. I am fluent in the language and cultural nuances of Mexican as well as Caribbean Spanish. I am also regularly involved in the Latino Community in the Denver Area, where I reside.
