Source text - English ORIGINAL Gastroparesis is a condition in which the normal FOOD INDUCED MOTILITY IS DELAYED CAUSING FOOD STASIS. Ordinarily strong muscular contractions propel food through the digestive tract while the process of chemical digestion happens simultaneously. But in gastroparesis the stomach's motility works poorly leading to stasis of food. Gastroparesis can interfere with normal digestion causes nausea vomiting and bloating It also causes problems with blood sugar levels and interferes with nutrition. The cause of gastroparesis is usually unknown. When there is no identifiable case it's called idiopathic gastroparesis (IG). When people who have diabetes develop gastroparesis it's called diabetic gastroparesis (DG). Some people develop gastroparesis after surgery. Changes in diet and few medication can also cause GASTROPARESIS. In all these patients there is involvement of nerves that are connected with Gastric motility.
