After more than 25 years working in the industry as an engineer, now I have started a new career....and I am working as a freelance translator among other duties.
I have worked in Germany for almost 2,5
years. After this period and during more than 10 years, I was in charge of the
analysis (and sometimes also the translation) of all the papers published
around the world on combustion engines innovation and efficiency; and a very
important part of these documents were in German (including patents). Since I have left the automotive industry, I have continued
to « feed » my German by writing, reading and speaking in German
almost every day (I enjoy the Heute Journal from the german ZDF television and
the daily podcast from the Suddeutsche Zeitung). Recently, I have made some German
to Spanish translations for old colleagues from the automotive industry working
in Zaragoza Spain.
I have also lived and worked in France for more than 12 years. So my french level is also very good.
I have studied and worked in english for almost 40 years....no problem at all with english either.
And I was born in Spain, so my Spanish „dialect”
is the Spanish we speak in my country.
