Welcome to my ProZ account page.

I was born in Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine, where I finished my high school and got my bachelor degree in German Language and Literature at the local university. In 2013, I moved to Poland to study in Polish and to work in the IT industry with English, German, Russian, and Polish customers. Working there gave me valuable experience in the IT field, which I can now use in my translation career.

In 2017, I moved to the United States to pursue my translation career professionally: I decided to get a Master degree in Translation as well as Master of Business Administration with the plans to open my company in the future. I am planning to graduate in May 2019, but already at this moment, I consider myself an experienced translator with extensive training and experience which I got during my studies as well as occasional freelance work and volunteering experience with Translators Without Borders. Additionally, I am teaching German and Russian at my university, which I consider a great opportunity to use my skills to contribute to the local community and the younger generation.

To summarize my expertise, I am a bilingual speaker of Russian/Ukrainian, with the advanced knowledge of English, German, and Polish. All three languages were not learned in isolation, on the contrary, I learned them by living among the native speakers and/or working with them. Since 2017, I've been volunteering at TWB and translating as a freelancer. My main area of expertise includes IT and literature. I am also able to work with small legal documents and documents with business topics.

Please, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or job requests.
