I'm a half Italian / half English language and video game geek, born and raised in Rome (Italy).
I moved to London (UK) in 2011 to begin my studies at the University of East London, where I read Computer Games Design (Story Development).
After graduating in July 2014, I immediately started working for a Video Game Localisation Quality Assurance company. I began as a Localisation QA Italian Tester, and became a Localisation QA Night Shift Manager in December 2015.
Ever since, I became even more of a language- / grammar-obsessed person. I believe great quality should obviously be found in accurate and creative/literal translations (depending on the context), but the importance of punctuation, consistency, and proofreading is often overlooked. I believe this is one of my specialities.
I currently work as a Localisation Editor (on a freelance basis) for busuu, a language-learning app with over 70 million users.
