Source text - Portuguese Leaders often ask me “How do I become an agent of change and transformation inside my organization?” and one of the first things I say to them is “what you really need to do is inspire hope, not fear. It turns out that the most contagious effect or emotion that we have in the entire human condition is the emotion of anxiety, and it’s an emotion that is extremely pervasive inside our organizations. As you probably know from your experience, when you’re fearful, you really focus on survival and security, protecting yourself. And so, anxiety becomes a real killer for the innovation, engagement, and commitment that leaders are looking for in your organization.
