Hi, my name is Katharina and I am a graduate in Conference
Interpreting for English and Spanish from the University of Leipzig (IALT), Germany. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Translation for English and Spanish from the University of Leipzig. I have been working as a freelance translator for 4 years and as a freelance interpreter for 2 years.
My numerous stays abroad in England, Spain and Brazil guarantee the high level of my language skills as well as a high understanding of other cultures.
Since 2014, I am a freelance translator for Handicap International e.V., a non-for-profit association helping people affected by civil wars by providing prothesis and rehabilitation measures.
During my university career, I was able to gain ample experience in bilateral, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting
at a variety of venues, such as business meetings, trade fairs, international events such as Berlin Critics' Week and DOK Leipzig film festival and international conferences about training and development in the EU. I am accustomed to working in a multinational environment
and able to communicate effectively with people from all social and
professional backgrounds. I look forward to working with you!
