I was born in Athens,
Greece and attended a Greek-American School since the age of 6. I attained
undergraduate degrees in English & American Literature and Filmmaking. My
studies enabled me to explore my passion for writing, by focusing on translating
as well as creative writing and screenwriting courses.
After completing my
postgraduate studies in Media & Film, I taught Greek & English to primary
school students in London for six years. I returned to Athens in 2010 and worked
as a film producer at a post-production company for two years, before deciding
to focus on my work as a freelance translator and editor/jproofreader. My
clients include publishing houses, non-governmental organisations, museums and
consulting companies. During my 13-year experience, I have translated
extensively in the fields of psychology, occupational health, tourism and
archaeology. My portfolio also includes translations of promotional websites,
fiction and cinema studies as well as editing and proofreading of academic papers
(both in postgraduate as well as doctorate level) across different disciplines.
I am very flexible in terms of working hours and
absolutely committed to meeting deadlines. I always apply my very best in order
to achieve the optimum result.
