Bio

I have more than 15 years' work experience  at mid-management level  in Institutional and Project Management Office environments. Since 2007, I have practiced as a document reviser, translator and conference interpreter,

My frequent travels and extensive work stays in both Francophone (Cotonou, Lome, Bamako, Abidjan) and Anglophone (Ghana, Nairobi, Nigeria) Africa during the periods June 2002 – September 2013 have helped me develop my bilingual professional aptitude in international
project and office environments, where French and English are used in official
document and communication. While I was in employment from 2002 to 2013, I contributed a lot to employer's business in my various roles in bilingual
business communication management and administrative coordination.

My
last employment was with Education International, Africa Regional Office, where
I occupied a MBA-required position of Communications and Protocol Officer. In
that position, I produced and revised internal policy documents in both French
and English, provided in-house translation and editing services, and arranged
protocol for foreign guests visiting from the Brussels headquarters of the
organization and from other continents.

Over
the past 4 years, I have been involved principally in independent consultant in translation and conference interpretation to the UN and other IGOs in Ghana and beyond, aside my role as FLE Teacher in my private establishment.

I was also elected and served as a member of the
now-dissolved 5-member National Steering Committee (NSC) of Ghana Association
of Translators and Interpreters (GATI), with the singular task of reorganizing
the Association after decades of dormancy. As a member of the NSC, I chaired
the Working Group on Strategic Communication and also held the position of
Communications Officer for GATI.
