I'm a freelance English to Hungarian translator specializing in marketing and technical (material handling equipment) texts.
I did my master’s degree in marketing at the University of Manchester and I currently work as a marketing manager at a material handling company in Budapest. I have experience in translating
·mini crane user guides
·forklift specifications sheets
·industrial battery charger operator’s manuals
·corporate presentations and reports
·marketing research interviews and surveys
I have always had a passion for languages. While at university, I worked as an interpreter in hospitals and became a CELTA-certified English teacher. I have worked in a summer camp in the US, volunteered on a farm in the Colombian jungle and learnt French in Montreal. As a result, I met incredible people from all over the world, visited inspirational places, and improved my Spanish. As part of the whole experience, I learnt how to deal with unexpected situations, overcome cultural differences, and improvise on the spot, and these are skills I take forward with me.
I believe my language skills combined with my industry knowledge and my years of living abroad could be of value to companies that wish to communicate to their clients in Hungarian.
