Objective: Position
as Freelance English Editor/Proofreader/Translator

About Me:

Whether it’s teaching English or editing and translating
texts, I have spent much of my life working with the English language and am an
unrivaled expert in the field. I did my PhD. in linguistics at the University
of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada). This is when I got my first experience
as an editor---primarily of academic texts from various fields.

Since 2004, I have been living in Moscow, teaching English
and freelancing as a translator and editor. I am fluent in Russian, have a wide
range of experience working with texts from different subject fields, and,
therefore, have no difficulty translating both specialized as well as
non-specialized texts. Through my work as an editor/proofreader, I am
constantly trying to acquire new field-specific lexis, thereby broadening my
range as a translator.
