Source text - English 8. Build corrosion data and prepare for full RBI Program. A full RBI Program will be initiated by gathering all available data relating to operations within the unit through conducting workshops/interviews as well as receiving existing hard/soft copy data from the unit. The required data may include:
a. Inspection history (reports include repairs (esp. postKweld heat treatment (PWHT), replacements and actual damage rates) and a summary of significant findings for
equipment and pipelines (e.g. active thinning, cracking, metallurgical damages and past failures (with root cause))
b. Process Fluid Stream (PFS) including damage-causing chemicals (DCCs)
c. Pressure and Temperature for vessels and piping and historical operational changes and excursions – this data would include temperature, pressure, material, DCC composition, fluid phase or flow rates/velocity changes. These changes should be tabulated with the date of change and details regarding the change such as the reason for the change and the affected locations
d. Equipment and connected piping in intermittent service (or normally not in service) during normal plant operation
e. Walk down/visual inspection of all corrosion loops, checking for items such as:
i. Internal piping deterioration:
1. Localized corrosion or cracking locations
2. Erosion or corrosion locations
ii. External piping deterioration (under insulation)
1. Carbon Steel corrosion and Stainless Steel stress corrosion cracking areas
iii. Piping fatigue:
1. Vibration Locations
2. Pressure or Thermal Cyclic loads
iv. Piping high temperature creep
