Originally from Spain, I
studied Veterinary Science at the University of Extremadura (Universidad de
Extremadura), Spain. Since then I have worked as a Veterinarian in different
fields, including public health and veterinary medicine across the UK. I have
also spent time in Asia, Central America and Caribbean, travelling and
volunteering in veterinary centres and charities.
After ten years of working as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK,
I have decided to make a career of my three passions: veterinary science,
languages and travelling.
recently gained a Diploma of Professional Translation from English into Spanish,
from the European University of Madrid (Universidad Europea de Madrid). The
diploma helped me master my translation skills and gave me the confidence as a
translator through the numerous texts I was assigned and examined by a mentor,
giving me useful in-depth feedback, ensuring my translations were at a
consistently high standard.
I work as a freelance translator from English into Spanish, specialising in
veterinary and medical texts, and as a locum Veterinary Surgeon in veterinary practices
in the UK. As a result, I have an excellent working knowledge of veterinary and
medical terminology in both languages.
