I
have a 3-years work experience in Germany and over 5 years of work experience
in Japan.

Throughout my career I often was confronted with translation/interpretation,
e.g. during my position in Germany it was my task to translate all
communications with foreign clients. At the yearly international exhibitions
like Nuremberg Toy Fair or Frankfurt International Fair I had the role of
interpreting with overseas clients visiting our booth.


In Japan, first I was employed at a well-known brake manufacturer for 3 years. Here
again my language skills in German, English and Japanese were often required
either for translating or interpreting. Due to this I gained a significant
amount of knowledge in the automotive/sensor/civil engineering sector.


After changing my career to the Tokyo base of a well-known German market
research company I gained knowledge in the market research field in general and
in many other industries, such as automotive, FMCG, food, cosmetics, retail, etc.
Here again my language skills were often required for translation/proofreading
of important documents or interpreting during client meetings.


In the end I eventually decided to become an independent professional
translator, based on my experience until now and aiming to gain more experience
in many other fields that interest me.
