Experienced business interpreter based in Korea

NAATI certified English-Korean translator

As a native Korean sEnglish-Korean peaker, I moved to Australia to study Journalism in 2010. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2013, eager to become a professional translator and interpreter, I went on to study translation and interpreting in Macquarie University. Not only did I earn a Master’s degree, I also gained varied working experience as a trainee translator, translating online website, survey, campaign poster, news articles, written petition etc. At the end of the course, I successfully obtained NAATI accreditation as a professional English – Korean translator.

Since graduation, I have worked for various clients including IoT security startup, governmental organisations and individuals. Having come back to Korea, I first started working for IoT security solution company as an in-house translator and interpreter. I translated user guides for a research and development team to help their development of products, and also translated business proposals, business profile, product description in both language directions (Korean <-> English). In addition to translation, I also worked for interpreting for exhibition and video conference with clients abroad. Also, working at a government institution for a global startup conference in Busan, Korea, I translated speakers’ biography, event planning report, emails, and interpreted between the two languages to help facilitate communication among key participants during the conference. Apart from working as an in-house professional, I’ve continued to work in the field as a freelance translator and interpreter to this day.

I have more than two years’ full-time experience in interpreting and translation, and also provide editing, proofreading services. I promise that I will not only work for interpreting and translation itself but also for building a trustful relationship with customers by complying with code of ethics as a professional interpreter and translator. Through dedication, commitment, and pride I will deliver the best outcome for your successful business.
