I started my professional career in the translation industry back in 2005, when I was hired by a local translation agency (Texo Translation and Training) as an in-house translator/editor and after a couple of years, I became project manager, which gave me the opportunity to learn how to solve issues quickly and effectively. There, I was also in charge of training new hires in the use of Trados Workbench and Trados Studio. I worked five years for that company.
After working for Texo, I decided to become a freelancer. That’s when I started working for several Argentinian translation agencies. In Spanish Express, I also became head of QA after some years of translating and editing for them.
I currently hold a certification by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), a requirement by Fox Translation Services. For this company, I receive the files in PDF format, translate them and send them back in exactly the same format since I also have a designer who helps me with this kind of tasks whenever needed.
