I was born in Venezuela to British parents and have lived in a variety of different countries. These experiences created a passion for languages, travel and learning about other cultures. I have studied Italian, French, German, Latin and Japanese, but my true love is Spanish.
I have a degree in Spanish and History. I have lived in Spain, Mexico and Panama, and I have travelled extensively throughout Spain and Latin America. I keep my knowledge of language and culture up-to-date through reading material, film, music and podcasts in Spanish, as well as through travel and Spanish-speaking friends.
My professional background is as a teacher, for which I have a degree in Primary Education. I have worked in this field for over 10 years and have an extensive knowledge of educational pedagogy and terminology.Throughout my career, I have taught both French and Spanish at primary level, as well as teaching English as a second language.
I have excellent written language skills in English. I have a sound knowledge of English grammar and a keen eye for detail and accuracy. I have worked as a proofreader for Master's level thesis papers.
